Motorola releases Android 8.1 Oreo kernel source code for Moto G5S Plus

Say you’re a developer of custom ROMs and recoveries. If you want to help Moto G5S Plus users customize their handsets, you are going to want the kernel source code for the device. Today, Motorola released the source code for the Moto G5S Plus. The phone is the sequel to the Moto G5 Plus and sports a larger 5.5-inch display, a dual camera system on back, and a metal body. The handset has a code name of “sanders.”
Based on the rules of the General Public License, Motorola must release the kernel source code every time there is a change made to it. This released kernel source code supports Android 8.1 Oreo, which seemingly is on the way to the model. A soak test is being done in Brazil and that, along with the release of this particular source code, certainly suggests that owners of the Moto G5S Plus will soon receive a notification about a software update.
